I was very enthusiastic, and it was fantastic to be shortlisted among so many talented people.

How did if feel to win? Did you expect to win?!

The level of the shortlisted works was excellent so it was a thrilling surprise to see my work winning during the award night. It was great fun writing the music for the Samsung Galaxy short film so I felt very excited to see it on a big screen and have many professionals in the room.

Has winning had any impact on your career / career decisions?

Winning the Young Arrows allowed me to make valuable connections during the awards night with fellow industry peers and with some extraordinary music supervisors. It has been a great opportunity to showcase my work and it definitively strengthen my confidence in pursuing my career as freelance composer.

What do you think the benefits are of giving young talent opportunities in this way?

I think it gives us an excellent way to showcase our work and connect with some of the top players and emerging peers in the industry. Knowing the right people can be a game-changer in this industry and the Young Arrows are a brilliant platform that facilitates new connections.
