The Young Arrows, British Arrows’ initiative to promote and foster emerging talent in the advertising industry in the UK, announced the winners of their second awards show. Over 450 people attended the show at BFI Southbank to celebrate and honour all the finalists and winners.

A total of 18 category awards were presented on the night – This year the category roster was extended to include Production Company Producer, Post Production – Audio & Video Producers and Music Video Producer, along with Music Video Director.

Simon Cooper, Chair of the British Arrows commented “I am immensely proud to be introducing the second Young Arrows awards. Last year was a great success and this year saw more entries and I believe an even greater, more consistent level of outstanding work across the categories. It is vitally important that we keep growing this special award show.”

About the importance of the evening in the UK’s awards calendar, Nikki Cramphorn, Jury Co-Chair commented “Winning an award can have such a positive impact on these young careers. Helping to shine a light on talent who might otherwise go unseen.”

The jury for this year’s awards brought together expert individuals from a wide range of disciplines in the industry. Sally Pritchett, Jury Co-Chair commented “Our fabulous jury was a joy to work with. They didn’t disappoint with their wise words and various heated discussions on judging day.”

Jesse Lewis Recce for RNIB, See the Person grabbed The New Director accolade; whilst the Student Commercial of the Year was awarded to Costança Rodrigues for Burt’s Bees, Lip Shimmer, Be True to Your Nature made at the NFTS.

James Sorton, Jury Co-Chair remarked “Each entry this year shows the boundless potential within our industry and is a reminder of just how important the voices of this next generation are.”

The not-for-profit Young Arrows Awards had an incredible team of young talent curating the awards: from production to visuals and sound; emerging talent was engaged through the ‘making of’ the ceremony night.

The Young Arrows Awards will return in 2024 with entries opening in May.
