Founder & CEO, Talent Republic
Truly wonderful to be part of the CRAFT jury and to celebrate the individuals and companies who passionately toil away, with limited recognition or glory, for their efforts.
Anne’s first job was at the Royal Shakespeare Company and her passion for stage, film and TV drama has been a constant thread throughout her career. In 1997, after several years with the BBC and MTV Europe, she founded Hero Films and also acted as an Associate Producer for Renaissance Films. During this time she worked alongside many acclaimed British casting directors and established lasting ties with the most influential theatrical talent agencies in the UK and USA. She raised £2.4m and produced indie feature ‘One Last Chance’, which premiered at the London Film Festival in 2003.
In 2006, Anne founded Talent Republic, an independent talent-brokering consultancy, which identifies and secures famous international names for agencies and brands. Over the past 18 months alone the company has secured a broad range of talent including; Ewan McGregor, Rebel Wilson, Ryan Reynolds, Alec Baldwin (BT), Jeff Goldblum (Currys PC World), Ruth Jones & Ben Miller (Tesco), Paloma Faith (Virgin Media) and James Blunt (Camelot). Talent Republic is currently working on campaigns for AMVBBDO, Adam&EveDDB, Grey, GTB and Pablo.
Anne’s work combines her three favourite roles as Casting Director, Producer and Entertainment Lawyer. Anne has lived and worked in Sydney and New York, and currently resides in North London.
