Roland Kennedy

Director at Iconoclast, Winner of the Student Commercial Category 2018

For me films should always try to push the medium as much as the story.

Roland Kennedy has made multiple award-winning fictional and documentary short films. He was the David Yates scholar and mentee at the National Film and Television School.

Roland has recently won the BBC Greenlight Award to make a 30 minute drama about two brothers in the world of moped crime in London, which will shoot in November 2018.

He's represented by Iconoclast and Casarotto.

He has twice been nominated for British Arrows awards, for Jigsaw Spring/Summer campaign video, and Autograph Collection Hotel commercial Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley - which in 2018 won the Gold Student CRAFT Arrow, as well as being awarded by the Indy Film Project.

Roland has also won D&AD New Blood Pencil and silver and bronze Clio Awards.
