Executive Producer, Madam
The secret of a successful marriage? Teamwork. Advertising is no different. Idea and Craft are the team; the stronger the idea the better the craft, this should be honoured and never forgotten
Michelle started her career in the advertising industry at the tender age of 17. Working with the infamous director Tony Kaye she worked her way up to producing from reception. She then joined Propaganda Films when they launched in London, working with the likes of Alex Proyas, David Fincher, Michael Bay and Mark Romanek.
At 26 years old she ventured out on her own starting up Brave Films which soon became one of London’s leading production companies earning Best Newcomer in its first year. Brave launched the careers of young film-makers such as Lucy Blakstad, Seb Edwards, Alex Winter (Bill and Ted fame) and Sara Dunlop. She also exec produced and produced Sara’s Soho Rushes Short Film Winner Big which ran at the Curzon Cinema for 9 weeks and was picked up as The Big Issue’s Sponsor Film. Further credits include Juvenile for China Moo-Young, which can be found on her IMDb page.
During her time in the industry she has worked with an extensive range of advertising agencies and clients across a variety of sectors including automotive, beauty, retail, fashion and food. Awards include D&AD, Creative Circle, British Arrows & Rushes Short Film Awards.
In 2013, alongside producing high end TVC and Cinema commercials, she created an idea for a new TV sitcom, The Plot. Alongside her Executive Producer role of The Plot, she developed the idea and characters in collaboration with Jo Brand and Morwenna Banks who wrote the script and starred in the pilot. Christopher Eccleston and Miriam Margoles also star. The Plot is currently in development.
Michelle’s passion for high standards of work is still as strong today as it has always been and in 2013 she teamed up with two likeminded business women, Carly Stone and Pippa Bhatt, to launch MADAM FILMS. In 2015 MADAM became a pure UK Service Company bringing a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and creative problem solving to a global client list enabling them to shoot in the UK.
