Anna Bateson is Chief Customer Officer at the Guardian, which she joined in 2016. There she manages marketing, the reader revenue business including subscriptions and contributions and newsstand.
Prior to this she was the Director of Global Consumer Marketing at YouTube, spending 2 1/2 years in San Francisco leading the marketing team there.
She joined Google in May 2009, and in addition to always focusing on YouTube she also worked across a range of Google’s display products.
Previously, Anna was Director of Viewer Marketing at ITV where she was responsible for all programme and channel brand communication on and off air.
Before ITV Anna spent 4 years at MTV Networks UK. Prior to MTV she worked at Artsworld, WGSN and Bloomberg LP.
