Matt grew up in South East London and his first introduction to advertising was as a Runner. Quickly realising that watching a monitor in the TV village was more fun than making the tea, he switched to agency side.
He began his career at Campbell Doyle Dye, before moving to a young adam&eve in late 2008. Ten years, four Agency of the Years and one merger later, Matt is still there. In that time, he has made award-winning work for John Lewis, Volkswagen, Fosters, H&M, Harvey Nichols, Waitrose, Save the Children and Colman’s. Picking up at Cannes Lions, British Arrows, D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, eurobest, Shots, Epica, Campaign Big, Creative Circle and the ANDYs.
Amongst these accolades is the 2012 British Arrows Commercial of the Year The Long Wait for John Lewis, and the 2017 British Arrows Best Crafted Commercial of the Year Coming Home for Waitrose. TheLong Wait was also one of the most awarded commercials in the world according to the 2012 Gunn Report.
When not at Paddington hoping he’ll crack his next brief, he’s at the London Stadium hoping West Ham will justify the price of his season ticket.
