Visual storytelling has never been more vibrantly diverse in its forms and expressions. I'm delighted to be joining the British Arrows' board as filmmaking evolves and we have a chance to celebrate this amazing creative diversity.
Christopher O’Reilly is the co-founder and ECD of Nexus and Nexus Interactive Arts where he leads creative development across the studio. He co-founded the London-based company and over the last fifteen years it has gone on to become one of the world's leading independent animation studios. Its extensive work in film, TV and commercials includes the Oscar nominated short This Way Up, a Grammy nominated music video, as well as three Cannes Grand Prix winning commercials and several coveted yellow and black D&AD Pencils.
He also co-founded Nexus Interactive Arts in 2010, which works in the innovative space where filmmaker and programmers collaborate to create innovative installations; web and app based projects and explores interactive filmmaking. It has won two Webbys and recently picked up an FWA for the innovative interactive film Carp & The Seagull.
Christopher has worked as a mentor, producer or writer on several short films and has been an active participant on the Animate! scheme and Channel 4's Mesh and Air schemes. He has been on the industry liaison panel for the Royal College of Art and the National Film and Televisions MAs and LCC's animation course.
Christopher was educated at Reigate Grammar School and Oxford University where he read English Literature.
