Davud Karbassioun

Pulse Films

Growing up as a Eurotrash kid in Austria, ‘Dav’ moved to the UK in 1995 to do a Masters of Engineering. That said, he always had an eye on finding a way of working with the directors that made the MTV promos he grew up with; the likes of Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Jonathan Glazer and Chris Cunningham. After 4 years learning from the best at Leagas Delaney, Dav landed a job at BBH as a producer in 2003. He went on to make some of the most iconic BBH’s films for Levis, Audi and Lynx. In 2009 he was promoted to the Head of Film building on a close partnership with ECD Nick Gill.

In that role Dav was focused on converting the quality and craft of BBH's film output and produced a number of award winning films for clients like Audi, Lynx, Myspace, Barnardos, Johnnie Walker & The Guardian. Over this period, BBH were awarded Advertising Agency of the Year at the British Arrows Awards in 2010, 2012 & 2013, and the award for the Best Crafted Commercial of the year at the British Arrows Craft for the Guardian’s  “Three Little Pigs”.

In 2011 Dav featured in TimeOut's Culture 100 to watch, and was promoted to Head of Production leading the integration of the core production disciplines of film, interactive, art, display and experiential production in the one connected multi-skilled team it is today.
